With the upcoming release of John Wellington Ennis's new film 'Pay 2 Play: Democracy's High Stakes', activists are getting the word out about how Big Money influences just about everything in our lives. From agriculture to real estate to water, monied interests have a hand in some surprising places. The Pay 2 Play team recently put together an A to Z list of how money in politics affects all the other political issues that you care about. Check out all 26, and especially these three Ben & Jerry's sponsored letters:
J is for Justice (and Jerry!). With overflowing prison populations, our goal should be minimizing the number of people behind bars, not inventing new ways to keep people under lock and key.
S is for Science -- the science that has shown us that climate change is real and has been caused by human actions. With wealthy donors pouring money into denying climate change, getting everyone to take action against it is harder than it needs to be.
