It’s getting harder and harder to pull off a good prank on April Fools' Day. People’s senses are finely tuned for shenanigans, so it takes a special type of trickster to succeed. Good thing we’re here to help! We’ve learned a thing or two in our years of churning ice cream, and we’re happy to pass these harmless pranks on to you. Let's just hope you get to prank your friends before they prank you!
1. The Leaky Pint
Take a pin or kitchen skewer or other pointy thing and poke some holes in the bottom of your friend’s pint. They won’t notice anything as long as the ice cream is frozen, but watch out as soon as it starts to warm up!
2. The De-Chunkifier
Take your friend’s favorite pint and let it sit out until it’s completely melted. Use a fork to remove the chunks, re-freeze the pint, and see how long it takes them to notice something’s different.
3. Flavor Swap
Take two pints out of the freezer and let them sit just long enough to be able to remove the all the ice cream at once. Then swap the pints and wait for your friend to come looking for their favorite flavor.
4. The Undrinkable Milk Shake
Seal the bottom of a straw with a heat sealer or piece of tape. Then stick it in the Cherry Garcia milkshake you’re giving your friend and watch them struggle to sip.
5. Mayo Swirls
Mayonnaise and marshmallow swirls sure look similar. We’re not saying you should do anything with this information, but we’re not saying you should leave your roommate’s Phish Food alone, either.
6. Rocky Pint
Take a pint, empty it out, add some rocks to give it weight, and put the lid back on top. Stick it in the freezer and wait for an unsuspecting ice cream fan to take it out.
7. Mashed Potato Sundae
It’s like a Vanilla sundae with caramel swirls and a cherry on top. Except it’s a mashed potato sundae with gravy swirls and a cherry on top.
